"The Post" By JONATHAN GENSCH

Walking around the Quad you will see these 2 statues of a bobcat and also the stallions with a man. These statues are meaningful to ever student here at texas state. The Quad is a place where people can go and always count of someone offering something to them people cooking and someone with a smile on. But the Quad is also where there is pollution. From trash to cigarettes to cooking coals and smoke.

1) The best example of sustainable practice in the Quad would be the trash cans in every corner and the recycling beens right next to them.
2) When your walking around the Quad around 12-3pm you can count on a good amount of the people to be smoking. With all the smoke in the air they end up just tossing the buds where ever is convenient. Also all the trash that does not make to the can
3) Fist of all smoking is a huge problem. Every time i walk over there i have to cover my nose and mouth because of all the smoking so the long term would be having no smoking in the Quad signs. A short term affect would be having someone enforce the no smoking or cooking in the Quad and that would lead to a long term affect on the Quad and the health of others.
4) There are many ways we could sit here and say why and how we could help. There are some areas that do need to be addressed. If you grab one person who you see throw something down to pick up the after affects im sure that person will use the trash can from then on. Same goes for cigarettes.
